In 1994, Omega Tau Pi was created and became a way for young ladies to display their talents and attributes while striving to maintain academic achievement and professional growth. The sorority also provides many members with a home away from home while attending college. New members are encouraged to form a sisterly bond with each other that will continue beyond the days of college.

Throughout their various campuses and communities the Ladies of Omega Tau Pi are known by the nickname "Cutie Pie" not because of our physical appearance, but because of the sorority's good nature and love of social and community involvement.

The Alpha Chapter of Omega Tau Pi

Southern University and A&M College

The current 2007-2008 Chapter of Year, Alpha Chapter is under the leadership of Spring 2008 Initiate Zennitha Scott. She leads a group of ladies dedicated to helping others. This school year, the Sisters of Alpha Chapter have worked with the Baton Rouge Zoo during their Boo at the Zoo festivities, the Louisiana Book Festival, Mid-City Fix-up and other events designed to give back to the city of Baton Rouge.

After several years of inactivity Omega Tau Pi is proud to acknowledge the re-activation of our Beta Chapter. Under the Alumnae advisement of Niqueta Williams and led by Shakari Briggs the ladies of Beta Chapter have engaged in campus clean-ups, several mentoring programs in the Grambling/Ruston, La area and a host of worth-while charitable endeavors.
While fulfilling its commitment to the community, the Beta Chapter desires to also build a legacy of a great sisterhood at GSU. If you are interested in knowing more about this great sisterhood please complete the form provided below.
One of the most beloved chapters of Omega Tau Pi, Alcorn's Delta Chapter is enjoying a great year under the energetic and thorough leadership of Sister Whitney French. Sister French and her chapter sisters have been instrumental in continuing to keep the QTPis visible on The Reservation. They have also been hard at work in the Lorman-area volunteering at local nursing homes, daycares and elementary schools.

The Epsilon Chapter of Omega Tau Pi located at Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, La has always been one of our hardest working chapters. Every year they dedicate hundreds of hours of service to the LaTech campus and the Ruston community. They maintain a 2-mile stretch of highway, are involved in campus beautification, working with the youth, while also maintaining a great social bond with the Brothers of the Zeta Chapter of Upsilon Phi Upsilon, with whom they also participate in a myriad of service projects. Epsilon Chapter's president for the 2008-09 year is D'Sjoir Brown.
